Description:
Like the other coins in the series, the design is the work of schoolchildren. It refers to issues closely related to Maltese culture: the ancient prehistoric temples, which are the oldest structures in the world; the stylized dome and the bell tower of the Carmelite Church in Valletta, which are characteristic of the Maltese city, and a representation of the "Luzzu", the traditional fishing boat of the island.
